Privacy Policy

Maera, LLC, incorporated in United States, is the controller of the data described in this policy. Contact: support@maera.com.

We collect:

• Account data: name, email, phone, language, country of residence.
• Formation and compliance data: company name, state of registration, address, ownership, tax ID (EIN/ITIN/SSN when applicable), ID or passport.
• Documents uploaded by the client to the Vault.
• Payment data processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
• Technical data: IP address, device, browser, pages viewed and usage events.
• Communications: support messages and their history.

Deliver the contracted services (company formation, EIN, registered agent, bank account opening, filings and compliance); verify identity and meet legal and anti-fraud obligations; process payments and renewals; send operational notices and deadline reminders; provide support; improve the product in aggregated form; and, with consent, send commercial communications.

Contract performance, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interest in security and service improvement, and consent for marketing. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Strictly necessary providers: infrastructure and database, payment processing, transactional email, analytics, support and internal communication, and registered agent and accounting service providers when the service requires it. Also when required by a competent authority or to protect rights. We never sell personal data.

Our providers may operate in the United States and the European Union. When we transfer data outside the client’s country of residence, we do so with standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

We keep account data while the relationship is active and for 5 years after closure; corporate and tax documents for the applicable legal period (7 years); payment records according to accounting rules.

Access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection and restriction of processing, as well as withdrawing consent and filing a complaint with the relevant data protection authority. California residents may request details of categories collected and shared and exercise their right to opt out of sale (we do not sell data). Write to support@maera.com; we respond within 30 days.

We use necessary cookies for sign-in and security; they require no consent and are essential to access the Vault. We also use third-party measurement cookies:

• Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*, _gid): measure visits and site usage. Up to 24 months.
• Meta Pixel (_fbp, _fbc): measure the effectiveness of our ads. Up to 3 months.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or Brazil, these cookies do not load until you accept in the cookie notice. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page; when you reject, we delete measurement cookies already stored.

When you consent, we also send a server-side copy of certain conversion events to Meta (Conversions API) with hashed contact data. Without consent nothing is sent.

The service is not directed at children under 18 and we do not intentionally collect their data.

Two-sentence summary: Vault documents are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, isolated per client with Row Level Security, and served through short-lived signed links. For more details, see our Security page.
